So, I decided that the key to real meaningful intentional living and improvement on a path to excellence, starts with a plan met with action and ending in real results.? So, I am going to personally start a 90 day challenge for myself. What are some things I want to accomplish? Well at the top of the list are a few of these..
*Growing in my faith thru real intentional prayer, journaling, and reading. Bible reading and other reading.
*Carving out time for real intentional moments with each child ( I have three so it's a balancing act as many of you know) But making each feel worthy and special and not just lumping them all together each day because its easiest.
*Really focusing on getting to my best health and fitness. ( After a long summer and still nursing a bum shoulder, it has thrown me a bit off course. But it has turned out to be a blessing which I'll blog on at a later time..)
*Giving more, shopping less ( born with a love to shop so a better balance between spending and saving and giving and getting)
There are many more things that I will be doing but these are just a few to give you an idea. I'll be blogging ideas and thoughts and pics and videos along the way so check back and hopefully it can also help you be intentional in your own life. It sounds so clich? to say " make every day count" so I wont say that, but we really are only on this earth for a short time so I just want to make sure I am putting my time and energy into the things and the people that count. How about you?
Okay, so I'll go ahead and start with whats been on my mind lately.. How often do you hug your kids? I mean a real hug, both arms, squeeze full of love. I think we would all be surprised at how many days in the chaos of drop off at school, pick up, run to activities, dinner, baths, etc that some days pass where it might only be one hug.. or less? Let's hope not. But my intention is at least 3 intentional hugs per day. A big smile and an I love you and a big long hug for each child in the morning, afternoon at school pick up or at home on weekends, and one at night. I want my kids to know how special and important they are. I know that as a parent and as a mom, I am shaping daily their definition of unconditional love and what that looks like. I want to know that I am flooding their lives with affection.? So, this weeks task with your kiddos is real meaningful hugs.
xoxo ( and hugs),
A
