$25,000 Bond Set For Man Convicted Of Animal Cruelty


A $25,000 cash bond has been set for a Shelby man, previously convicted of animal cruelty, for allegedly violating his probation.

The bond was ordered in a hearing Monday by Shelby Municipal Court Judge Jon Schaefer for?Peter Bower, 32. His case will be continued on Wednesday.

Bower was arrested last week after police received a tip he had been advertising a pet sitting service on a website called www.sittercity.com.

Bower remains in the Crawford County Jail.

On Nov.?23, 2011, Bower, who accused of having sexual relations with animals, was found guilty of the charge of injuring animals.

Bower was ordered to perform 80 days of community service, take sex addiction classes and given two years probation.

Bowers was also prohibited from owning animals.
